Affordability when it comes to buying yachts has never been better, according to Erwin Bamps, CEO of UAE-based leading yacht manufacturer Gulf Craft.
Showcasing the firm?s latest fleet at the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS), Bamps told Arabian Business that yachting is accessible to most people.
?What we tell people is that boating is accessible for people of all levels. If you don?t want to spend a lot of money, the minimum budget that you have to have is the budget of buying a car, which a lot of people can do,? he said, adding that some yachts are cheaper than a BMW car.
?We sell yachts from 27ft up to a 155ft, so from about a price of a car up to $24 million (AED 88 million). We have yachts starting from $54,500 (AED 200,000), that?s cheaper than a BMW,? he said.
Gulf Craft is showcased $51.7 million (AED 190 million) worth of yachts at this year?s DIBS at the Dubai International Marine Club.
Among those was its Majesty 110 (pictured above), a 34 metre superyacht from the company?s luxury brand, Majesty Yachts, estimated at $9.5 million (AED 35 million).
Also on display are its Majesty 90 and Nomad 55, which premiered globally for the first time at the show.
