The 47 metre Heesen project Ruya with hull number YN 17947 has been moved into the Dutch yard?s main shed for finishing and outfitting. Ruya is designed by Omega Architects as a full displacement yacht with steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with Heesen?s engineering team taking care of the naval architecture.

Once completed, Ruya will feature a total of 180 square metres of deck space for her guests, with a massive 85-sqm sundeck area. Spacious and comfortable exterior seating areas will be found on all aft decks with an additional lounge space located on the foredeck.

Dickie Bannenberg gives us an idea of what is to be expected of the interior from their fifth project with Heesen in the popular 47 metre series. "We took the idea of movement as the foundation for the new interior concept for Project Ruya,? he says. "Expect a taut muscular and fluid design with sporty, hi-tech finishes. The ambience will be fresh and light with textiles, carpets and graphics discreetly referencing themes of energy, direction and progress. We feel this is synonymous with Heesen's progressive and contemporary brand values.?
