Unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival this week is the very first hull in the Arcadia 100 line of superyachts from Arcadia Yachts. Named Aria.S, the SYT team on the scene in Cannes managed to capture these very first photographs of the 31.06 metre vessel.

The Arcadia 100 model offers prospective owners the opportunity to choose from a four or five cabin layout dependent on their wishes. The Italian owner of Aria.S has opted for the latter, with the owner?s suite located on the main deck and featuring a private sun deck convertible into a dinette. On the lower deck, an expansive VIP suite which is convertible into two smaller VIP cabins is located, as well as two additional guest rooms.

In keeping with their ecological philosophy, solar cells are integrated between the external and internal surface of double glazing panels fitted on top of the largest part of the superstructure of the vessel. A total of 50 square metres of solar panels supplies up to 5 kw of power, enough to guarantee self sufficiency energy for many equipment and electrical systems. Commenting on this aspect of her design, Arcadia state: ?It results in a significant saving of diesel oil, less pollution and more comfort on board thanks to the substantial reduction of noise, vibration, no gas emission while enjoying your time close to the swim platform.?

In regards to her performance, Aria.S is powered by twin MAN V8 engines, providing her with a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The second Arcadia 100 model is currently under construction, and was started on speculation.
