Italian yard Fipa Group has revealed that the first hull in its new Maiora 36 series is under construction ahead of a planned summer 2017 launch.

This all-GRP fast planing yacht measures 36.2 metres LOA and will be made available in both tri-deck Royale and raised pilothouse styles, with the first hull sporting the latter configuration.

Accommodation is for ten guests in five en-suite cabins. The main-deck master stateroom features a fold-out superyacht terrace, while the four further guest cabins on the lower deck are arranged as two twins and two doubles, although Maiora added that this layout will be open to customisation on future models.

An exceptionally broad beam of 8.2 metres ensures an impressive interior volume, which is most notable in the main deck saloon, where all ten guests can share a meal in the formal dining room. Meanwhile, the superyacht sundeck features an aft Jacuzzi, cocktail bar, plentiful seating for al fresco dining and a convertible hardtop.

Power will come from a pair of 2,600hp MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, which should ensure sporty performance, while the entirely separate crew quarters in the bow allow for a staff of up to five people in three en-suite cabins. Tender storage is provided via a side-loading garage, which can house both a RIB tender and a Jet Ski.

The Maiora 36 is the latest addition to the Italian yard?s range, which currently stretches from 24 to 42 metres. Recent launches include the 32.1 metre Maiora 33FB, which splashed down in Viareggio in June.
