The ?SULTANA? was used to spy on American and British interests, but now it has a very different purpose!
The yacht was built back in 1962 and was originally named Aji Petri, officially it was enlisted to serve as an environmental research ship in the North Atlantic Ocean on behalf of the International Organisation of Telecommunications; unofficially it spied on the United States and Britain.
Its latest incarnation comes courtesy of La Sultana Group, who purchased the ship in 2007 and set about transforming it into a luxury superyacht.
The 12 or fewer guests who charter La Sultana will have access to seven cabins, all en suite and with marble baths and onyx fixtures; mahogany, cherrywood and cedar wood are used throughout and Moroccan artist Jilali Gharbaoui has provided works.
Additionally there?s a dining room, lounge, two outdoor areas, a helipad, hammam and swimming pool; alongside three tenders, toys include two jet skis, kayaks and ample diving equipment.
A crew of 17 will be on hand to take care of the details and the yacht has a range of 5,000 nautical miles so passengers will have plenty of freedom to roam.
