Last night saw the tenth anniversary of our prestigious awards ceremony and now we can reveal all 10 winners of the Motor Boat Awards 2016
The great and the good of the boating industry converged on the Rosewood London last night for the Motor Boat Awards 2016, when we revealed our top boats from the past 12 months.
The competition was particularly fierce this year; with many worthy contenders in all ten categories.
Sponsored by Pantaenius once again, the awards were a huge success and the time has now come to reveal all of the winners.
This year?s awards saw the Trawler and Aft-Cabin category expanded to take in the brilliant catamarans we tested for our June 2015 special edition and it was one of those models, the Lagoon 630, that swooped in to take the prize.
Elsewhere, Sunseeker capped a fine year with their best-selling Predator 57 winning the Sportscruiser Over 45ft category.
Another British brand to come away with an award was English Harbour Yachts, who won the Wheelhouse & Cockpit Cruiser Category for the EHY 29 Offshore.
And it was a great night for B?n?teau Group, who picked up the Flybridge Up To 60ft award for the Monte Carlo 6 and Flybridge Over 60ft for the Prestige 680.
The Customer Service Award sponsored by Lombard is the only award voted for by MBY readers, so it always has a particular importance and this year?s winners were Boats.co.uk, who recently switched from Fairline to become Princess Yachts dealers.
We also took time to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Carla Demaria, who won the Judge?s Special Award for her work with both Monte Carlo Yachts and UCINA.
Completing our selection of class-leading boats were the Sealine S330 & C330 (Sportscruiser Up To 45ft), Axopar 28 (Performance & Sportsboats) and Custom Line Navetta 28 (Custom Yacht).
