You?ve surely seen at least one time the picture of the incredible Ithaa underwater restaurant at the Conrad Maldives Rangai Island or the Huvafen Fushi?s heavenly underwater spa.

But we bet you?ve never seen the Manta Resort?s Underwater Room. It?s located in the Indian Ocean just off the coast of Tanzania.

The project was originally conceived in Stockholm, Sweden, when in 2000, artist Mikael Genberg created the ?Utter Inn? (Otter Inn in English), a single room that lies three meters below the surface of Lake Malaren in Vasteras.

Six years later in 2006 Genberg Underwater Hotels was founded, and this room is the latest addition to the Manta Resort?s existing 16 rooms.
