This Boat Launch Fail Caused A Surprise That Almost Cost Three Lives [Video]

While launching a ship from a metal wedge, is common to use steel rails welded to its hull to assist the slide into the water.

The problem here was that the design of the ?Reuben Lasker? couldn?t accommodate steel rails so wood was used instead.

So when the launch started, the wood snapped ending a blast of water and debris into the crowd.

No lives were lost, but three spectators were injured and the cameraman of this video was knocked unconscious.
