A video out of Brazil brings a whole new meaning to the expression ?drink like a fish?.

In the 33-second video that?s been viewed over 400,000 times, a sandy-coloured fish is seen leaning onto the side of a boat. A man brings a can of beer to the fish?s mouth, as the fish waits, expectedly.

As the can hits the fish?s puckers, it starts to enthusiastically take big gulps of the brew, as its gills flap open and shut. After chugging back the beer for about 10 seconds, the fish flops then back into the water and swims away. The men in the boat cheer excitedly.

Turns out, a little beer can be a good thing for fish. A 2014 study out of New York University Polytechnic Institute of Engineering found that inebriated fish swam faster, were more aggressive and showed less fear towards predators.

The drunk fish would then seem to yield a type of influence as sober fish would follow it around, mimicking its behaviour. Talk about a fish out of water story.
