It seems that the MTU engines have become very popular on the superyacht industry. The currently running Monaco Yacht Show 2015 is hosting some of luxury vessels fitted out with the MTU engines.

Some of them? The 60m Benetti ?FORMOSA? with twin MTU 12V 4000 M53 engines, the 50m Heesen motor yacht ?ANN G? with twin MTU 16V 4000 units, as well as the 42-metre Mondomarine superyacht SERENITY with twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines.

MTU is also presenting bespoke E-Drive system solutions incorporating diesel engines and electric motors, energy storage batteries, power electronics, control systems and gearboxes.
