On a recent trip to the Italian Riviera, SYT captured the 99 metre superyacht Madame Gu as she was anchored off the quaint fishing harbour of Portofino. The yachting hotspot attracts a number of high profile superyachts over the Mediterranean summer cruising season, with a few of these yachts fortunate enough to tie up stern-to at the Yacht Club Portofino.
Madame Gu became the largest Feadship yacht at the time of her launch in 2013. Amongst the many features that earned her the Superyacht of the Year award is a fully enclosed helicopter hangar (first pioneered on the Feadship Ecstasea), fibreglass domes for the satcom/navigation gear, and an exceptionally elaborate interior. She sports a distinctive ice blue hull with a slender and elegant profile which is the work of Winch Designs.
