Glimpses of the glossy-white exterior and rich-wood interior are visible in the time-lapse video of Genesi below. Wider is readying this first Wider 150?its first superyacht, too?for launch in a few days.
The 151?foor (46-meter) Genesi has completed a few milestones. Stainless steel handrails rim the upper deck, contoured to match the curve of the superstructure. All of the guest staterooms below decks are fully outfitted with wood, leather, and more. Genesi?s master suite recently was completed, too. Leather (hand-stitched) covers the walls, and white marble lines the en suite bath. Additional stonework is found throughout Genesi. As for systems, the diesel-electric propulsion passed another important series of tests. Emerson Industrial Automation, which helped create it, performed checks on the yacht and is reportedly satisfied with the results. This follows initial tests performed at its own facility, before the system was sent to Wider for installation. Both Wider and Emerson expect sea trials to confirm that Genesi can top out at 15 knots and achieve 5 knots in zero-emission mode (battery power alone).
